Hello, my name is Gaby Ledesma I'm part of the EarthRanger Mobile Team. And today I am really excited because we're going to talk about this upcoming new release that it’s the 2.90. We're going to discuss some new features that are available starting with Optional syncing of Shared Events. In this new version, you will be able to toggle a new Shared Event switch to see the share events alongside your Local Events. Keeping everything in one place. Some permissions are required to see this new setting. You will be able to customize these Events timeline. You will be able to choose between Yesterday, 1 day, up to 3 months, 99 days. And by default is set by 27. These Shared Events are now visible on the map and in the Event list. You can opt-in to Shared Events from other users or triggered by external sources now sync seamlessly and displayed on your map. We're going to do a little demonstration of this new setting. So what does Shared Events mean in the context of EarthRanger Mobile? So you already, in the EarthRanger platform you can see a Events that are generated automatically. and you can see Events from all Rangers created by Mobile app for instance. Now if you opt-in into the Mobile app, you will be able to see those same Events but in the Mobile app. Okay, but enough chitchat. Let's go to the action. For instance, in my device right now we can see that there's no events displayed on the map. And if I go to the Events view I don’t have any Local or Shared Events in my device. This user that I'm logged into only has access to the Security Event Types. They have View and Create permits, so the view the View permit will allow me to see the Shared Events of the Security Event Type. So now if I go to settings, and I go to under Display I will see this new setting called Shared Events. I turn it on, and now it asks me to select how many days of Events I want to see on the map, on the list, and how many days am I going to always sync. In my case I just want to see one day, 24 hours. I save it. I go to Status. and I sync. I let it do its magic, and now it says that it's over. I go to Events. and ta-da! I can see the Shared Event of the Security Category for one day. So, magic! If I want to see more days I just have to go to Settings. You know what? I changed my mind i don't want to see three i want to see five because I like to see more information. I go to Status again I go to Sync. I wait for the magic to happen. I go to to Events and now I can see more Events. So this way I can control if I want to see Shared Events and how many days of Shared Events I want to display in the app and in the map, in the list and in the map. As we can see now it appears on the map as well not only on the list. So great The next feature we're going to talk about is Now you can see your sync progress in real-time. Now you'll see live stats showing exactly how your resources are syncing, so you always know what’s happening behind the scenes. Now that when you log in you will be able to see in real-time the progress of what the app is syncing and how many other resources are waiting to be synced. So now we're going to do a little demostration about this. Im going to log in to this device for the first time with this user, and i'm going to see the syncing screen. And now I can see a beautiful counter here when it tells me how many resources are still to be synced. So it's easier for me to see the progress of the syncing. The next feature we're going to discuss is the Quick Show/Hide for Events and Subjects. Now you can turn layers on and off with just one tap right from the basemap menu. Now let's do a little demonstration of this. This is our beautiful map where I can see Subjects and maps. But maybe right at this moment, I don’t want to see so many things on the map. Before I had to go to the Events dashboard, I had to click on filter and I had to turn off the visibility on Show on Map Apply and then go back to the map and see a little cleaner the map. But now if I want to do it, let me just undo what I did. There we go. But now maybe I don't want to move from the map, I just have to open the basemaps. I have to go to this new section called Layers, and I can select don’t show me Events and don’t show me Subjects right now please. I close it and I can see that the map is cleaner. Or maybe I just want to see Events I don’t want to see Subjects right now and it's going to show me whatever I said that it shows me here. So now it's a another way to have a cleaner map. The next feature we're going to talk about is a new setting called Subjects on Device. Now you can configure how many days of Subjects data are stored on the device. By default it's 90 days but we can control how many days we want. And now let's do a little demonstration about this new setting. If i go to settings under Display i'm goin to see Subjects on Device. Right now i had it on 99 days, So if i go to Subjects and go to Rangers, I want to show you a Subject called Gaby Videos That says that the last time that Gaby Videos was active or we had a location for this Subject was 83 days ago. So now I go back to Settings and change 99 to 1, because i like 1 for this demostration of today. I go to Status and I sync, always remember to sync. Because if not, we're not going to see the results that we want to see. Once this button enables, it means our sync is complete. So it's complete now and if I go to Subjects we can see that from 25 Subjects it’s now 18. So now I open the list, I scroll down and I can see that Gaby Videos no longer displays because it had 83 days and i just want to see the ones that have movement for the last day. So yay! Now I can control what it displays on the Subject list, on the map and in the Sync. Now let's talk about some of the improvement that are also included in this release. We are so happy to see two new languages been added to the app. These two languages being Thai and Khmer. Thank you so much for everybody that contributed to this translations. So now if your device is set to Thai or Khmer, the app will translate automatically to Thai or Khmer, so yay! The other big change that we wanted to share with you is that now you have smarter searches in the Event list. So now, you wil not only be able to search by title but you will be able to search by the form values itself so yay! And the other thing is that now we have a better sync so if you make changes to the permit Now we are able to take into account those changes and sync them. The update of the app is now available in the app store and in the play store so please go download it. And we cannot wait to hear from you and thank you so much!
