The Timeslider feature in EarthRanger provides a visual representation of data changes over time. It allows users to slide through different time frames, observing how wildlife movement, environmental changes, or incidents evolve over specific time periods.

You will be able to find it on the Map Tools on the right bottom corner. 

A time slider will appear on screen with two date ranges on each end of the track. 

To enhance the accuracy of the Timeslider analysis, simply click on each date range to set a specific time.

On the pop-up screen with the Date Ranges you can also find pre-defined data ranges like “Today”, “Yesterday”, “Last 7 days”, “Last 30 days”, “Last three months”, etc 

You can slide the thumb of the Timeslider through the track to visualize how the date on it changes as well as the features shown on the map.  

You can see how tracks appear as the tracked subject moves through the map, or even the evolution of Heatmap behavior. 

 This functionality aids in detecting trends, patterns, and temporal correlations crucial for conservation planning and response.
