Logging in to EarthRanger Mobile

An internet connection is needed to log in to the EarthRanger Mobile app for the first time.

Note: The following steps demonstrate the configuration process on an Android device. iOS device configuration is similar, but not exactly as shown here. 

 

When first opening the app, you will be able to configure the application by entering your EarthRanger site information. Note that all fields are required.

Site Name – Enter the EarthRanger site name only for the account (i.e. ‘site-name’). 
Note: the “https://pamdas.org” will be added automatically.
 

User Name – Enter the username of the EarthRanger account login information.
 

Password – Enter the password of the EarthRanger account. 

You can hide and show your password while it is being written by clicking on the show icon.
 

Remember Me - Remembers all values except for password.

  • Once complete, tap the Log In button
  • If the EarthRanger site information is successfully validated, the site data will begin loading. This may take a couple of minutes and requires an internet connection. 
  • The app will check for resources such as report types, report categories and validate updates to the account.

Network connection required at first log in
 

To be used later offline, the EarthRanger Mobile app must first sync resources from the web platform and save them in a local database on the device.

PIN Profile Login
 

If your user profile for EarthRanger Mobile requires login via PIN, a screen will prompt you for your user PIN.
