A Route delivers data from a data provider to one or more destinations. A destination is a Connection that receives data — for example, an EarthRanger site or a SMART Connect server. This guide covers the three ways to add a destination to a Route.

Only Admin users can edit Routes.

Option 1. Add an existing Connection from the flow map

1. Go to Routes and select the Route you want to update.
2. On the Configurations tab, click + Add destination on the flow map.
3. In the panel, search by name or filter by Workspace, then select the Connection(s) you want to add.
4. Click Add to Route.

Gundi saves the Route automatically, and the new destination appears on the flow map.

Option 2. Create a new Connection from the flow map

If the system you need is not set up in Gundi yet, you can create it without leaving the Route:

1. Go to Routes, select the Route, and click + Add destination on the flow map.
2. At the bottom of the panel, click Create new destination.
3. Choose the technology, then enter the required information: a unique name, the Workspace it belongs to, and the connection details for that technology (e.g., server URL, token or credentials).
4. Save the new Connection. It is added to the Route as a destination automatically.

Option 3. Add the Route from the Connection

You can also start from the Connection itself:

1. Go to Connections and open the Connection you want to use as a destination.
2. Open the Routes tab.
3. In the Receiving data from section, click Include in Route.
4. In the panel, select the Route and click Add to Route.

The Connection joins that Route as a destination. A Connection can be a destination in any number of Routes.
