Activity Logs

Activity Logs in Gundi provide a record of Connection events, allowing users to monitor data processing, track configuration changes, and troubleshoot issues. These logs capture events related to data ingestion, transformation, and dispatching to conservation platforms like EarthRanger and SMART Connect.  

To access Activity Logs, select the relevant Connection and click on Logs.  
 

Key Components  

  • Timestamp – Shows when an event occurred.  
  • Log Details – Displays information about events, configuration changes, failures, and more.  
  • Log Level – Categorized as Debug, Info, Warning, or Error. 
     

Filtering

You may filter logs by:

  • Keywords
  • Log Type
  • Minimum Log Level
  • Date Range
     

by Keywords

Type any words you are looking for, such as a source name, and click on the magnifying glass icon to search the logs.

 

by Log Type

Select “Changes” to show only records related to Connection name changes, updates to configurable parameters, or changes to the selected destinations.

Select “Activity” to show only records related to the data stream.

 

by Minimum Log Level

Use this filter to select if you want to see only Errors, Errors and Warnings, or more information. 

  • If you select Error, you will see Error messages only.
  • If you select Warning, you will see Warnings and Error messages.
  • If you select Info, you will see Info, Warnings, and Error messages.
  • If you select Debug, you will see everything, including Debug messages.

 

by Date Range

Use this filter to show only messages recorded during the selected timeframe.

 

FAQ

1. How do I see all the records for delivered data?

In the search bar, enter "delivered".
 
It is a good idea to either clear the other filters or review them carefully to make sure they help you narrow your search.

2. How can I review if the Connection is affected by errors?

Filter by Log Level and select "Error" from the list, and clear all other filters.   

3. How do I see when a data source or device was first discovered by Gundi? 

In the search bar, enter “source created”.

It is a good idea to clear other filters.

4. How do I see when the Connection was first created?

In the search bar, enter "integration created," and the results will display when the destination and Connection were initially set up.
