Description
This guide details how to set up an integration between data providers to Movebank, via Gundi.
Scope
Wildlife movement data (location and tag id).
Prerequisites
- In Gundi's older portal, you need an inbound configuration set up for the data provider. The prerequisites for each technology may vary.
- Movebank username(s), case-sensitive.
Configurations
Step 1: Configurations in Gundi
1.1 Add a new Outbound Integration Type

Select the name of the organization that owns the data.Name

Replace username1
with the actual Movebank username.
1.2 Edit the Device Group
Edit the device groups created for the inbound configuration, selecting the outbound configuration you created in the step 1.1.
Limitations
Sensor data, such as speed, is not currently transmitted to Movebank through this integration.
Future Plans
The integration will soon be configurable through a new portal.
Support for transferring additional sensor data, such as speed, is planned for the near future.

Contact Support to request integration assistance.
Once the integration is established, use Movebank to create or edit a study and include the tags by navigating to Live Feeds and selecting “Gundi/EarthRanger.”
