This movement data integration requires support from the AWT team to set up your account for pushing data to Gundi.
Prerequisites
Data Fetch
- AWT Account.
Configuration in Gundi
Click Create Connection.
Select Africa Wildlife Tracking.
Select your Organization.
Enter a Connection Name (e.g., Project Name - AWT Account Username).
Click Next.
Select a Destination. Please consult our guides.
Next Steps
Navigate to your Connection.
Copy the API Key from the Overview tab.
Provide this API key to your AWT point of contact. This authentication key will help them complete the integration for you. If you need help contacting AWT, please let us know.
Characteristics
- This integration is classified as a “Push” type, meaning AWT services send data to Gundi as soon as it becomes available on their servers. Gundi then immediately attempts to forward it to the destination specified in the Connection.
- Mortality alerts and other event data are in our roadmap, but not yet available.
Data Delivery
The time it takes for data to appear in your destination system depends on several factors, such as latency introduced by the source, network conditions, and intermediary systems. While these factors may vary, Gundi typically checks for available data at scheduled intervals (approximately every 10 minutes).
If data is not available in your system after this interval, please check the source of the data for its availability. If the issue persists, contact our Support team for assistance.
