Description

Devices sharing data with Wildlife Computers (https://wildlifecomputers.com/) can be integrated with Gundi supported systems accepting wildlife movement data.

Scope

• Supported destinations:  EarthRanger Movebank

Prerequisites

Configurations

1. Gundi

1.1 Log in to Gundi's previous Portal

1. Navigate to Gundi v1.

1.2 Verify Organization

1. Confirm that an Organization exists for this connection.

1.3 Create a New Inbound Connection

1. Create a connection:
   1. Name: Provide an appropriate name for this connection.
   2. Organization: Select the relevant organization.
   3. Type: Choose “Wildlife Computers”. 
      Note: Leave all other fields empty. 

1.4 Edit the Device Group

1. Select the appropriate destination and save the device group.

Next Steps

Copy the API Key from the Inbound Configuration and ask a contact from Wildlife Computers to redirect the devices data to Gundi.

• Device PPT Id 
• Friendly name per PPT Id 
• Gundi API Key

Limitations

Only fresh data will be processed by Gundi, but a request can be made to the Wildlife Computers team for historic data.
