You will need:

EarthRanger

To send movement data to EarthRanger, you will need:

  • A special EarthRanger user (e.g., “Gundi Service Account”) for this integration. Please refer to EarthRanger's documentation or contact Support.
  • A long-lived token for authentication assigned to the user created in the previous step. Please refer to EarthRanger's documentation or contact Support.

I. Gundi Connection Settings

1. Login to Gundi.

2. Click on Create Connection.

3. Select Kineis.

4. Select your Workspace.

5. Enter a name for this Connection (e.g., “Kineis - AccountName”).

6. Configure your Account details (username, password).

7. Leave everything else with their default values or empty.

9. Click Next.

10. Select a Destination. Please consult our guide.

Troubleshooting

Is there a difference in the number of records between Keineis (portal) and EarthRanger?

Our integration only uses records with a location, and skips duplicated entries (same timestamp, latitude, and longitude). Please contact our team if you believe there are other reasons behind the mismatch.

How can I process historic data?

  1. In Gundi, navigate to the connection and click on the “Provider” tab. 
  2. Switch off “Use realtime API” 
  3. Add a device identifier in “Device Refs”. 
  4. Save your changes.
  5. Wait for the integration to run
  6. Revert your changes by switching on “Use realtime API” and removing the device from “Device Refs”.
  7. Save your changes.

Note on Latency

The time it takes for data to appear in your destination system depends on several factors, such as latency introduced by the source, network conditions, and intermediary systems. While these factors may vary, Gundi typically checks for available data at scheduled intervals (approximately every 10 minutes).

If data is not available in your system after this interval, please check the source of the data for its availability. If the issue persists, contact our Support team for assistance.
